Nepal Visa Process

The process for obtaining a Nepal travel visa is relatively straightforward. Here’s a breakdown:

  • Visa on Arrival:
  1. Most tourists can obtain a visa upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu or at certain land border crossings.
  2. Fill out the arrival form online (or at kiosks at the airport), and provide a passport-sized photo.
  3. Pay the visa fee (USD is accepted): $30 for 15 days, $50 for 30 days, or $125 for 90 days.
  • Documents Required:
  1. Valid passport (with at least six months validity).
  2. Visa application form (online or physical copy).
  3. Payment for the visa fee.
  • Online Application (Pre-arrival):

Tourists can also apply for a visa online through Nepal’s Department of Immigration website to speed up the process.

  • Visa Extensions:

You can extend your visa at the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu or Pokhara.

The process is simple, but ensure you carry sufficient cash for visa fees and check for any specific requirements based on your nationality.
