Trip Itinerary

Arrival in Kathmandu Airport(1345 meters). There you will be met by our Airport Representative and transferred to hotel by private tourist vehicle.

We have to begin very early today as we need to go a long drive to arrive at our trek starting point. After breakfast, we leave Kathmandu at around 7 am and nearly after 8-10 hours drive we reach Jagat via Besishahar. En rooted we see more of countryside of Nepal that offers granaries, rivers, villages, farms and beautiful mountain scenarios. However, the condition of road is not equally fine in all portion of our drive today.

We will leave Jagat on foot. Our trail winds up to Chyamje. After crossing a suspension bridge, the trail takes us uphill through the Oak forest. We’ll continue walking for a while until it emerges into a valley. We pass the village of Kodo and ascend to the village of Dharapani.

Today we negotiate a few steep forested ridges along with several landslides on route on the west. We should not forget to look up though, as we will be treated to some of the most sensational views of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV. Small hot springs add relief on our long day hard trek.

Our trial now follows a steep and narrow river valley winding through deep woodland. The view of Pisang peak and Annapurna II on our way is truly amazing.

Today we continue through the drier upper part of the Manang district, cut off from the full effect of the monsoon by the Annapurna Range. People of this region herd the yaks & raise crops for part of the year. They also continue to enjoy special trading rights gained way back in 1784. Leaving Pisang, we have alternate trails north and south of the Marsyangdi River which meets up again at Mungji. The southern route by Hongde, with its airstrip, at 3325meters which involves less climbing than the northern route via Ghyaru, though there are better views on the trail that follows the northern bank of the river.

Today we spend a day acclimatizing in Manang. The whole day we spend doing some fine day walks and over viewing the magnificent views around the village & the day time is best to gain altitude. At the end of the day, we return back to our accommodation & have a night rest.

From Manang village, the trail crosses a stream, climbs to a village of Tenki above Manang, and then continues to climb out of the Marshyangdi Valley turning northwest up the valley of Jarsang Khola. The trail follows this valley northward, passing a few pastures, a scrub of juniper trees, as it steadily gains elevation. The trail passes near the small village of Ghunsa, a cluster of flat mud roofs just below the trail head.

After ascending for two hours the trail descends to cross the river at 4310 meters we then climb up to Thorong Phedi at 4450 meters where we have recently found some good Guesthouses built.

We reach the climax of our Annapurna circuit trek today. It will be a lifetime unforgettable experience- crossing the famous high pass, Thorong La. An early start is important to complete the mission. Each moment we have to work hard today through the icy high-altitude trail but the outstanding high Himalayan scenes are such tempting that our eyes love to watch more over the horizon than on our trail. We reach Muktinath with the setting sun. Muktinath is an important pilgrimage place for both Hindus and Buddhist. The area hosts a Vishnu temple and a Monastery nearby. Muktinath itself demonstrates the religions harmony in Nepal.

Our descent continues through the Kali Gandaki Valley to Jomsom. Jomsom is home to many apple orchids as well as all the various food products made from the fruit. Apple Brandy is a local specialty that you may be lucky enough to taste en route.

Early morning fly back to Pokhara. Jomsom to Pokhara fly is look like mountain flight. You will fly 25 minute between mountain Dhaulageri and Annapurna range. After land pokhara transfer to hotel.
