Mera peak climbing (6460 meter) is one of the famous peaks in Nepal. It is perhaps best known because it is Nepal’s highest trekking peak. The ascent is not technically demanding and unequalled views of Everest, Lhotse and Makalu will more than satisfy your aspirations. The first ascent of Mera Peak was made by J.O.M. Roberts and Sen Tenzing on 20 May 1953, by the now standard route from the Mera La. By its regular route from Mera La, the ascent is technically uncomplicated; however, after a heavy fall of snow or when the mazes of crevasse are open, the way can be long and demanding.
Mera Peak climbing is an excellent option for anyone with moderate mountaineering experience. It is a challenging trekking peak due to its elevation, but the technical mountaineering skills requirement is very basic.
